Seated Cat Cow - A Great Stretch For Your Spine

Seated Cat Cow is a gentle stretch for your spine!

Seated Cat-Cow is a simple yet effective yoga pose that can be done anywhere, even at your desk. It's a great way to warm up your spine, improve flexibility, and reduce stress.

How to Do Seated Cat-Cow

1. Start in a seated position with your feet hips-width apart

2. Breathe through your nose and into the belly

3. Stay seated, but begin by arching your back. Almost as if you are giving yourself a big belly or sticking your belly out. With your neck, tilt your head back and look up towards the ceiling. Hold for 1-2 seconds.

4. Then tuck your belly button in towards your spine, in a slumped position. Tuck your chin towards your chest and look down. Hold again for 1-2 seconds.

5. Keep alternating positions, about 10x.

Seated Cat-Cow is a versatile pose that can be incorporated into your daily routine. Give it a try and experience the benefits for yourself! If you are still feeling tension in your back, give us a call today at (615)-900-5187 to schedule an appointment!
